The answer: Since we are a homeschooling family we LOVE road trips! They are always fun and educational. Our road trip would be long yes...all the way to the Grand Canyon! The whole family has been wanting to make this trip, but it just has not been possible. The kids would really love to see first hand the wonders that God has made by His own hand.
I too would love to see it as well and as a family we could enjoy the amazing sights to be seen!

Diet time!

Well I haven't given an update in a few days but I have great news. I'm down to 172. I think that is about 20 lbs lost! Had I not gotten out of control at the end of 2008, I would be happier having lost 20 lbs, but now I have about 10 more to go. No I'm not looking to be my recommended weight which is 135. I think I would fly away. I've never been that thin in my life. But 160 would be a healthy, do-able weight for me. So that's my aim!
Still eating GREAT low carb foods. Everyone is happier and healthier with this lifestyle!

and the losing continues

For those of you who have been keeping up with my healthy eating changes, here is an update.
So far I am proud to say that I have lost a total of 15 lbs since I started my healthy eating plan the first week of January. Ok, so I'm using the South Beach method, but it really is working. It's not just me but my entire family. We were all carboholics and sugarholics. But hey we drank diet sodas! LOL
But now we are almost completely sugar free. I let those that are closest to their healthy weight and are exercising regularly have a treat now and then.
As for me, I have been VERY good at staying away from carbs in the evening. Only good carbs for breakfast, snack and lunch. The transformation has been truly amazing.
Plus, I am working out regularly. I love it! I have always loved working out, it's just that I can't find the motivation at home on my own, but I have sucked it up and made it happen. I've been doing Slim in 6 workout DVDs, South Beach Diet Supercharged Interval Cardio and some other DVDs I had around the house. Between all of them I get a good workout. The Slim in 6 is the best and the longest. There is one section that I just cannot do all the reps and my goal is to complete this section. I will feel better when I can do it without stopping.

So that's what's up with me or should I say "what's down"! I'm back in my skinny jeans, which I hope will one day be my old fat jeans when I have to purchase even smaller sizes!!!!

Ok, so this is not blog central

However, it is my place to write stuff I'm sure no one will ever read! Anyway, it's week 3 of using the South Beach eating plan and I'm doing well although I just started with some carb cravings!
I'm down 10 lbs. Which would have been great had I not gained 10 pounds during the holidays. I'd be that much thinner....but no such luck!
It's hard keeping my family on this plan. They just don't give in easily. We are so focused on food around here.
I've been excersizing using the SB Supercharged DVD from the library. Great, but boring after 3 weeks. Can't walk outside b/c it's so darn cold!
Well, I'm pressing on in this quest!
It's black bean soup tonight with salad. No carbs at dinner!
